WOYWW 385

Good morning to all! I'm hoping that this year hasn't rushed past you as it seems to have me. I'm a little in awe this morning that there is only 2 plus a little less than 1/2 a month left of the year.  But you are not here to listen to complaints of time slippage or my laments over the fast pace of life.  You came over today because Wednesday is the day we show off our workdesk in the crafty world.  My desk this week was all with stolen pieces of sporadic seconds. Here is my desk.



The 4 page layout I finished was put to the side as I rushed to create some altered rolodex cards in a fall theme for a swap due in 9 days. Nothing like jumping in early to get things completed! lol. They are in the middle section of the desk (another photo is below) . Then late into last night I started pondering the rest of the swap components which my ideas are in the smattering of the desk middle.  On the left you will see some banner kits from Target. I thought I'd put together a Halloween Banner. On the far right is some pattern papers a cardstock that I picked up at the local hardware/grocery store. Yes, I said hardware/grocery store!  Blew my mind too! I've already used a few of those sheets before and love the colors.

Here are my rolodex cards in all of their glory.  I like how they turned out.



Thanks for visiting my workdesk. I've had a lot going on over the last few weeks and have been late to several desks, not even hitting them all. Hope to hit everyone this week, however, it still may take a couple of days.

    Hi Lisa. I'm none too sure where this year has gone either. I thought it was 'cos I am no longer quite so young that time seemed to slip by... but you are young, and still feel the same... HELP!!!

    Your rolodex cards look wonderful. I love the Autumn colours and leaves. Ack! Don't remind me how many weeks there are left in the year. I haven't even started on holiday creating yet.

    Thanks for the visits this week. We enjoyed our trip a lot. We have the Porcupine Mountains on our list to see next year. They look so beautiful!

    LISA!! Oh y goodness... HOW did I miss popping in to see you yesterday?? I blame it all on hormones and menopause! GRIN... what a great shot you managed to achieve of your desk... were you standing on a ladder? Giggle. Those altered rolo-dex cards are DIVINE! AND I HAVE A ROLODEX card holder sitting empty on my shelf (I nabbed it from my very last office job) And NoI KNOW I want to fill it with altered cards!!! Thanks for the visit and the comment earlier... I am trying very hard to link up every couple of weeks, but it becoming morel liek once a month and like you I CANNOT believe how fast this year is flying by! HAPPY WOYWW on Thursday...     So much to say. .. Love the busy-ness of your desk! The cards turned out great. Those banner kits from Target are great. I've been trying to resist buying a bunch of them! (you're not helping ;) )
    We've got one of those hardware/grocery stores in the next city over. I wouldn't think to look for patterned papers there, but I've also only been in it once. It boggled my mind a little actually. Ha!

    Happy Belated WOYWW. It is hard to believe that it is nearly the end of October. I bought a Xmas tree decoration today (and some gift tags to use on cards). One shop had Halloween items in one aisle and Xmas in the next! Ali x #27
